BY UNDERSTANDING THE ARCHITECTS INTENT, THE SPACE WAS STRIPPED DOWN TO ITS BASIC FORM AND THE CONCEPTUALIZA­TION OF THE INTERACTION BETWEEN SPACE AND USER IS DISPLAYED. THE SOLID WOOD REPRESENTS THE SPACE AROUND THE CANOPY; THE BRASSERIE IS A SOLID AREA WITHOUT VIEWS INTO THE INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR. THUS, CREATING A CONTRASTING SOLID MASS WITH THE MODERN TRANSLUCENT SEAGRAM BUILDING. ONCE THE USER WALKS UNDER THE CANOPY, THEIR SIGHT-­LINES EXPAND. THE CANOPY MAKES THE SPACE INTIMATE, ENCAPSULATING THE PEOPLE WITHIN THE BRASSERIE. THE HOLLOW SPACE IN THE MODEL IS PAINTED BLACK TO CONTRAST THE FIGURES AS WELL AS EXPRESS THE ARCHITECTS INTENT ON MAKING THE AREA FEEL LIKE A STAGE, HAVING ATTENTION DRAWN TO EACH OTHER.

WHEN OBSERVING THE MODEL, THE FRONT VIEW IS SOLID AS THIS ALLOWS THE OBSERVER TO EXPERIENCE THE AFFECTS OF AN ENCASED AREA SECLUDED FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD UNTIL ENTERING. THE ENTRANCE/INTERIOR OCCUPANCY IS EXPERIENCED BY TURNING THE MODEL TO ITS SIDE, EXPOSING THE INTERIOR. 
WOOD IS USED TO REPRESENT THE MATERIALITY FOCUSED ON BY DILLER+ SCOFIDIO. THE KEY FORM AND THE CANOPY IN THE RESTAURANT IS CARVED INTO THE WOOD BLOCK. THE WOOD IS STAINED WITH BEESWAX TO ACHIEVE A WARMER TONE- SIMiLAR TO THE CANOPY IN THE RESTAURANT- AS WELL AS CONTRIBUTING TO THE AB/ENCE IN THE SPACE. BLACK PAINT IS USED TO CRE­ATE A STAGE AND HIGHLIGHT THE ARCHITECTS FOCUS ON SOCIAL INTERACTION AND INTIMACY AS WELL, WHITE FIGURES ARE PLACED INTO THE AREA. 
THE PART/ MODEL HAS DEVELOPED THROUGH ITS PROCESS; THE CONCEPT WAS REFINED, FORM CHANGED AS WELL AS MATERIAL­ITY. THE CONCEPT DEVELOPED BY EXAMINING THE SOCIAL INTENT OF THE SPACE WHICH IS A KEY ASPECT WITH DILLER+ SCO­FIDIO. RESIN WAS NO LONGER USED DUE TO ITS COMPLICATIONS, ALTHOUGH THIS CHANGE WAS BENEFICIAL AS IT ALLOWED THE CONCEPT OF SOCIAL INTERACTION TO DEVELOP FURTHER IN HOW IT WAS EXPRESSED IN THE MODEL.
